Clean-looking water isn't always clean water. By the time it reaches your shower, municipal water has travelled through kilometres of ageing pipes and is dosed with chlorine to keep it disinfected. Great for killing bacteria at the treatment plant — not so great for your skin, hair and lungs every single day.

RVYVE was built around one idea: filter your water at the last possible point — the shower head — so what touches your body is as clean as it can be.

What's actually in your shower water

• Chlorine & chloramines — added to disinfect, but they strip the skin's natural oils and can leave hair dry and brittle.
• Heavy metals — trace lead, copper, mercury and iron leached from old plumbing.
• Sediment & rust — fine particles of scale and corrosion picked up along the way.
• Hardness minerals — calcium and magnesium that dry out skin and dull hair over time.

How RVYVE filters it out

Inside every RVYVE shower head is a multi-stage cartridge engineered to target the contaminants that matter most in hot, pressurised shower water:

• KDF-55 — a high-purity copper-zinc media that reduces chlorine and bonds with heavy metals through a proven redox reaction. It also inhibits the growth of bacteria, mould and algae inside the cartridge.
• Calcium sulfite — the gold standard for neutralising chlorine in hot water, where many other media fail.
• Micro-sediment layers — capture rust, scale and fine particulate so they never reach your skin.

Each cartridge holds over 250 grams of active filtration media — far more than the thin carbon discs found in cheap shower filters — which is what lets it keep performing across its full lifespan.

Tested & proven

Our filtration media and housing are made from components tested to recognised drinking-water safety standards, and we hold our cartridges to measurable performance targets rather than vague promises:

• Up to 85% average chlorine reduction across the cartridge's three-month lifespan.
• Significant reduction of heavy metals and sediment from typical municipal supply.

Replace it every ~3 months

A filter only works while its media is active. We recommend replacing your cartridge roughly every three months (or every ~40,000 litres) so you're always getting genuinely filtered water — not just the look of it.
